I am going through some very touch times wherein one sikh person preaches and teaches and practices things like, charms, amulets, future vision, gods vision, ability to see any person anywhere in a trance and t hings like this.
I am very sure that these practices are banished and not allwed or adviced by any of the guru.
I have read and still readind all of the books written by the gurus which I can catch hold of.

My problem is that - I am married to a Jat sikh too. Now my inlaws have seen some sikh priest who have told them all sort of nonsense as said earlier about charms, jaadu, totka, amulets and things .....resulting in my married life becoming hell.
My inlaws and wife are god fearing people but I am dead shocked to see there reaction on that fake persons and his teachings..He even asked my inlaws not to allow my wife to have any communication with me for some number of months , and in the meanwhile he will do some pooja and make things okie.

I APPEAL and request you earnestly to pls guide me to the right person to take it up .
I guess this time it is me but next time it can be anyone. These sort of persons are dangerous for the normal living.
I would earnestly beg you to please guide me to a resource who can give me some sort of proof or any writings or teachings specifically by any guru commenting not to follow the very nature of these things.
I am trying to read and understand myself which is taking a very long time and am not sure if ever I will be able to get to it .
I have asked n no of people who claim to be a pure sikh and talk all sort of prayers and things but still they become paralyzed to reply or guide or point me to right person as they themselve are not very sure of the basic teachings and the REAL meaning of the Gurus teachings.
I guess they are taking the relegion on the periphery and on the face value ; which is why 99% of t he people do not even know the inner and real meaning of the prayers they say in the name of GOD and oter such chit chat.

I just found your university link from a Sikh website and am writing this to you.
Hope this is not too long so as to waste your time but I do beleive and anticipate some real help from your side since I can call you the pinnacle of Sikhism research and scholars place.
