Gurudwara Jand Sahib Village Chamkaur  

This Gurdwara Sahib is sacred to Guru Gobind Singh who after leaving Chamkaur Sahib on the night of 7-8 December 1705, took a westerly direction passing through a desolate wasteland. He stopped under a banyan tree (Jand Tree). The day was already breaking when he got up to resume his journey. An early shephared saw him and out of fear raised an alarm. Guru ji gave him a gold coin and he was pacified. From here he went to jungles of Machiwara. 1st , 5th and 10th Patshahi Gurpurab are organised here
Location
Gurdwara Jand Sahib (Bir Guru) is situated between village Khanpur and village Fatehpur near Sirhand Canal. It is 5 km. from Chamkaur Sahib in district Ropar. The Gurudwara is connected by a metalled road to the Ropar Machiwara Road
