Gurudwara Bahadurgarh - Distt. Patiala

The ninth Guru Sri Tegh Bahadur stayed at Saifabad during one of his travels. He came here to meet his old friend Nawab Saif Khan. In memory of his visit, Maharaja Karm Singh built a fort at Saifabad and named it as Bahadurgarh. He also built a beautiful Gurudwara here in the Panch Bati garden near a pool. Its inner sanctuaries are covered with mirror work, murals and paintings in Patiala style. Every year on Baisakhi day a big festival is held and thousands of pilgrims throng this place to pay homage to the great Guru. This Gurudwara is situated on the Patiala-Rajpura Road at a distance of 6 km from Patiala City. The place is connected by rail and road with Delhi, Chandigarh and other important towns. Nearest airport is Chandigarh at a distance of 67 km
