Gurudwara Shahid Ganj Sahib Village Morinda

After being separated from Guru Gobind Singh Ji, his two elder sons and 40 sikhs, Mata Gujari and her younger grandsons Zorawar Singh & Fateh Singh were brought by Gangu, their servent to village Saheri. It was here that the cook Gangu Betrayed Mata Gujari Ji and her Grandsons because he became greedy after seeing jwellery possed by them he handed them to headmen of Morinda, Jani Khan and Mani Khan. Gurdwara Shahid Ganj on the south-western fringes of Morinda marks the place where the three holy captives were kept for the night of December 7-8. It was here that the formalities of Paperwork needed for sending them to Sirhind, were completed. It is believed that while they were leaving Morinda for Sirhind under the custody of Mughals, on foot, a gentleman from Nasalpur could not bear this. He immediately brought a Rath from his house for Mataji and her two Sahibzadas. Then they were taken to Sirhind on that Rath.
