Bahadhur Shah confers a "khillat", robe of honour,
on Guru Gobind Singh's family. Surprisingly, he had bestowed
the same honor upon Jamshed Khan, Guru Gobind Singh's assassin,
only two days earlier. By treating the assailant and the victim
at par, Bahadhur Shah lend credence to the theory that he, apart
from the Subedar of Sirhind, was involved in the surreptitious
attack on Guru Sahib. |
