United Sikhs in Service of America - USSA – www.unitedsikhs.org - “USSA aspires to empower and invigorate disadvantaged communities through the creation of educational and developmental programs, enabling them to become full participants in the political, social, and economic spheres of American society. Our goal is to facilitate the transformation of underprivileged children, men, and women into informed and progressive citizens, who collectively strive towards the advancement of their community while building bridges across cultures. USSA has designed series of programs to serve underprivileged adults, families and children of all ages. These programs have many goals, including the promotion of good parenting skills, the prevention of child abuse and neglect, the promotion of education to combat social ills such as domestic violence and alcoholism.”
