28th December

1711Bhai Mani Singh’s grandchildren accept shahadat in the war of Bilaspur, Himachal.
1844A regency of ten Sardars was formed under Jawahar Singh as Wajir and Lal Singh as Commander-in-Chief of Sikh forces.
1849Bhai Maharaj Singh was arrested from sugarcane fields of Pandori Nijjar and Jalbhe. This area is located between Adampur Doaba and Sham Chaurasi in Jalandhar district.
1929All Parties Convention held at Calcutta where the Hindus refused to accept the rights of the Sikhs.
